FTR MOTO is following up its success in the final two rounds of the 2009 CEV Spanish Moto2 Championship by producing a unique specification machine for teams in the 2010 CEV series.
 

The machine will cost €49,995 and will be based closely on the machine that Graeme Gowland took to fourth and second places respectively in the final two 2009 races at Jerez and Valencia.
 

“From working with the teams in the Spanish Championship last year it’s clear that we need an intermediate machine that can be successful in the CEV Championship and at a price that is affordable to those teams,” said FTR director Steve Bones.
 

He continued: “The machine will be based on the M209 that Graeme Gowland raced and will still feature high quality material from Brembo, K-Tech suspension and a choice of wheels, including Marchesinis. Having spoken with many teams, from World Championship and from the CEV series, it’s apparent that there is a clear distinction between the two needs and their specific requirements.”
 

The FTR CEV machine package will include the option of development parts during 2010 and a full technical and spares support service.
 

Additionally, FTR has concluded an agreement for all customers to have the option of purchasing the engine, airbox, ECU, dash, wiring loom, fuel pump and basic data acquisition materials from the Joe Darcey Team, winners of last year’s CEV Supersport title.
 

Bones added: “With the current financial climate and a new Championship beckoning we realise that many teams and riders are in need of an introductory package for Moto2, the CEV machine provides that and we’re happy to support the new initiative in Spain.”
